The bad news: not restore the headlights to "new".
The good news: It 'easy, fast and gives a decent enough job for money. Beacons will see 80-90% of a new one.
Where I live, professionals seek up to $ 120 to restore the headlights of a car. As far as I know, it's worth all the money.
This series will have two or three cars at a "very good" condition for about $ 20 and two hours of your time. Will not be perfect, but it will be much better than it does now.
I bought it when I saw the ad $ 120 to the dealer. I thought I could lose was $ 20 if I tried before. In the worst case scenario could be a bit 'embarrassing to the professional restorer (I can always refuse the tip, if you're trying to be funny …).
It turned out very well. The instructions are clear and easy to follow. Everything you need to go beyond the set is a decent life.
I used two cars, a Jetta and a 2002 Volvo S60 2005 The Jetta this year, the projector plate. That one was easy. All we needed was one of each of the tablets. S60 has been difficult. The lights are much larger and rounder. He used two pillows each curve and not all are equally beautiful in the end (which says more about my hand-eye coordination that the series itself).
The second car, there will be faster and easier. If you have only one machine, volunteering to do before the car nearby. He / she will be happy and grateful. You will check to do a better job in your car.
